Assistant Professor of Chemistry
The Department of Chemistry at Iona College invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in physical chemistry. The successful candidate will be part of ACS accredited chemistry program led by endowed professor
and is expected to: teach courses in chemistry including physical chemistry lecture and lab; be engaged in undergraduate research projects (in areas of physical and/or computational chemistry) providing research training for students; have a commitment to establishing a productive, externally funded research program; assist students with applications for graduate and professional schools.
Required qualifications: a Ph.D. in chemistry or related area; relevant postdoctoral, academic or industrial experience; a commitment to establishing a productive, externally funded research program; and a commitment to excellence in teaching at the undergraduate level.
