Assistant Professor of Computer Science

(Tenure-track opening for Fall 2014)


Description:
Candidates specializing in Cyber Security and Network Security are particularly encouraged to apply, but strong applicants in other areas of Computer Science will be considered as well.

Successful applicants will:
  • Have a strong commitment to teaching
  • Teach core as well as advanced undergraduate and graduate courses in the ABET-accredited Bachelor of Science, the Bachelor of Arts, and the Master of Science
  • Demonstrate scholarly activity
  • Possess potential to direct student research
  • Show a deep interest in collaborative engagements within the Department and the College
Faculty members teach four (4) sections a semester including the introductory courses required of all students as well as courses in their field.

Requirements:
Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related discipline by August 2014
   
Finalists for the position will be required to teach a class as part of the application process.
