Assistant Professor of English

The Department of English at Iona College invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor for a scholar specializing in African-American Literature with additional expertise in Digital Humanities.  In addition to promising scholarship, the successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to teaching (4/4 load), including undergraduate and graduate courses in African- American Literature and core courses in writing and literature.
 
Required qualifications: a Ph.D. (the successful candidate will have completed the Ph.D. by August 2015); relevant teaching experience and a commitment to excellence in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
