Assistant Professor of Psychology

1) Assistant Professor, School Psychology
(tenure-track position for Fall 2014)

The right candidate will be core faculty in the NASP-accredited School Psychology M.A. program.
Responsibilities may include, but not be limited to:
  • Coordinating internship placements
  • Teaching school psychology courses that match the successful candidate's interests/skills as well as departmental needs; teaching assignments may include courses in assessment, counseling techniques, group dynamics, and research methods 
  • Maintaining an active line of research
  • Providing departmental, college, and community service
  • In addition to promising scholarship, the successful candidate is expected to teach 12 credits per semester, including ungraduated and graduate courses
Requirements:
Must have a Ph.D. or Psy.D. from an APA-approved program in School Psychology and be eligible for New York State Permanent Certification as a school psychologist.  The successful applicant must have academic experience commensurate with the rank of Assistant Professor in the areas of teaching, research, and service; ABD candidates will be considered also.

2) Assistant Professor, Industrial-Organizational Psychology (tenure-track position for Fall 2014)

The right candidate will be core faculty in the graduate Industrial-Organizational Psychology program.
Responsibilities may include, but not be limited to:
  • Coordinating internship placements
  • Teaching I-O psychology courses that match the successful candidate's interests/skills as well as departmental needs; teaching assignments may include such courses as personnel psychology, training and development, personality assessment, statistics, and research methods. 
  • Maintaining an active line of research
  • Providing departmental, college, and community service
  • In addition to promising scholarship, the successful candidate is expected to teach 12 credits per semester, including ungraduated and graduate courses
Requirements:
Must have a Ph.D. or Psy.D. from an accredited program.  The successful applicant must have academic experience commensurate with the rank of Assistant Professor in the areas of teaching, research, and service; ABD candidates will be considered also.
