Assistant Professor of Religious Studies
(Tenure-track opening for Fall 2014)
The applicant’s area of specialization will be Islam and the area of competence will be religions of India.
Successful applicants will:
Demonstrate a passion for teaching undergraduates in a core curriculum
Show a deep interest in collaborative engagements within the Department and the College
Have the ability to teach and research in interdisciplinary modalities
Provide evidence of a research agenda
Faculty members teach four (4) sections a semester including the introductory courses required of all students as well as courses in their field.
Ph.D. in the history of religions
Finalists for the position will be required to teach a class as part of the application process.
