Programmer Analyst - Information Technology

Job Summary:
A Programmer Analyst is a skilled computer professional who is assigned to support the administrative computing activities of the college using the PeopleSoft software environment.  This individual must have significant PeopleSoft experience particularly in the areas of custom development, reporting, troubleshooting and testing.
 
Qualifications:
 
Education   Associates Degree in Computer Science or related field, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
 
Experience   Minimum of 5 years experience programming and supporting an administrative computing environment, preferably PeopleSoft experience and higher education experience.
 
Specialized Skills   PeopleSoft programming and support experience; extensive knowledge of the customization process, reporting, troubleshooting and testing; highly proficient in PeopleCode, SQL/SQR, functional knowledge of Campus Solutions areas or Financials or HR/Payroll.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Providing high end customer service and answering end-user support questions
  • Researching and resolving application problems
  • Writing queries and extracts using various tools
  • Developing needed customizations and fixes
  • Supporting the PeopleSoft environment and Self Service
  • Researching, testing and maintaining interfaces among various systems
  • Working directly with the systems administrators to resolve any issues
  • Implementing any new PeopleSoft modules and assisting with upgrades
  • Supporting special projects as assigned by management
