New Rochelle, NY (March 18, 2014) A unique learning opportunity has begun for six Iona College students and two faculty members who have traveled to Auschwitz-Birkenau and the Centre for Dialogue and Prayer in Oswiecim, Poland from March 14- 22. The trip is sponsored by Iona's endowed professorship in Jewish-Catholic Studies. Iona in Poland is an intensive program offering a week of study at the Auschwitz concentration camp. Some class meetings also take place in New Rochelle both prior to and after studies at Auschwitz. While abroad the students will blog about their journey.
