Dr. Fisher discusses the biological underpinnings of romantic rejection, love addiction, human adultery and divorce. She then explores the neuroscience of personality structure to propose why we fall in love with one person rather than another.

She concludes with discussion of the biology of long-term partnership happiness and the future of relationships in the digital age—what she calls “slow love.”
