  • What is the cost?

    $425- includes field trip transportation, t-shirts, daily breakfast, and summer classes.
  • Who are the teachers?

    They are a group of outstanding and dedicated local teachers who offer a curriculum designed specifically for this program. In addition, academic college and career counselors, and college science students assist these local teachers.
  • When is the program?

    The summer program is four weeks. It begins July 1 - August 1. Classes are held from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
  • How do I enroll in the STEP program?

    Enrollment in the STEP Program takes place three times a year. In the Fall, Spring and Summer. Applicants must have a good math and science grade point average, and be in good standing with their school. Applications can be obtained from science and math teachers or guidance counselors. The summer applications must be mailed by May 16, 2014 to Iona College, Spellman Hall room 210, 715 North Avenue, New Rochelle, NY 10801.
  • Is there a waiting list?

    Yes, if necessary, your name will be placed on our waiting list. If an opening becomes available in your grade, your application will be considered for the program. If admitted you will be notified.
  • Can I cancel after enrollment?

    Yes, but $50.00 of your registration fee is non-refundable. However, if you cancel enrollment one month in advance of the starting date of the camp you will receive a full refund.
  • What should I bring?

    Pen, Pencil, Calculator, and Notebook.
  • What should I wear?

    Informal clothing appropriate for all occasions.
  • What are the fun things STEP students do?

    They go on field trips to museums and zoos. They go on college tours across the country. They play various sports like soccer, basketball, and volleyball. They attend Broadway shows and dinners in NY City. They do hands-on science projects and get a chance to make long lasting friendships.
