IONA

Motivate people. Manage change. Move the world.

All organizations have managers. Whether you see yourself in a business start-up or a multinational corporation, our programs provide the solid business foundation and managerial skills you will need to move your career forward. We emphasize not only management theory, but also the development of analytical and human relations skills necessary to succeed in the leadership of a modern organization.

Iona management students learn from faculty who are among the best in the business. They include former college presidents and deans, practicing consultants working with Fortune 500 and multinational companies, and published authors frequently cited for their business acumen. Equally important is the respect and regard our faculty members have earned, from both the Iona students they teach and mentor, and our alumni, many of whom they continue to advise and support.

Students interested in the BBA degree may choose the Management major, designed to help you start a career with broad managerial responsibility, or the Business Administration major, an interdisciplinary program with advanced courses in several functional business areas.

Prepare to compete in the global marketplace

Our programs offer students many opportunities to apply their skills, both in and out of the classroom. In Professor Jeff Alstete’s Business 470 class, students participate in GLO-BUS, an online team competition focused on developing business strategies. Several Iona teams recently won recognition for top scores out of thousands of international teams.

Over the last 5 years, 90% of our students found immediate employment after graduation or continued on to graduate school (based on surveys completed annually by recent graduates).
