Transfer Students seeking admission to BBA must adhere to the following policies:
Business students with an AA or an AS degree with a 2.5 index will be granted junior status. The liberal arts core will be satisfied and they may complete the bachelor’s degree program in two years, as a full-time student and depending on their choice of major, provided they take the proper course load.
The transcripts of non-degree holders with fewer than 60 credits will be evaluated course by course for satisfying core requirements.
Credit for Study at Other Colleges and Universities
Credit for courses taken at institutions other than Iona College or its cooperating institutions will be recognized under the following conditions:
Written permission to take such courses is obtained in advance from the dean of the business school.
The grade received at the other institution is equivalent to, or higher than, the Iona College grade of “C.” Such course work will not be included in the student’s cumulative index calculations. It is the student’s responsibility to have all transcripts sent to Iona.
A maximum of 64 credits may be accepted upon transfer from an accredited two-year college. A maximum of 90 credits will be accepted upon transfer from an accredited two-year/four-year combination.
If students are given permission to take courses at other institutions while attending Iona, the final official transcripts should be sent directly to the attention of Patti Ingraham.
