I love being a Patrick Martin Scholar because of the numerous opportunities that are given to us. It is a great network of students, where there are many scholars in the program that are willing to help each other. Dr. Martin and Dr. Lee truly care about how we are succeeding in our classes and our outside research, which gives me even more motivation to do well.

Future Plans: I am still trying to pinpoint the right profession for me and considering applying to physical therapy schools, physician assistant schools, and PhD programs
Being a Martin scholar, I get to interact with other science students that are serious in their studies and their future. It is a pleasure to be able to have lunch with Dr. Martin as he is a role model for the entire Iona College community. As such a member of such a prestigious group, I have the confidence knowing that I expect great things to come in the future.

Future Plans: My future plans are to possibly attend law school or go for a graduate degree in physics and possibly a doctorate.
I love being a Patrick Martin Scholar because of the opportunities that have been offered to me because of the scholarship. It is nice to know that there is another person who genuinely wants you to succeed just as much as I do. Being a science major puts a lot of extra stress on a student, and knowing Dr. Martin, who has been down the same path as I am taking right now, is supporting me really motivates me to strive for success. I cannot thank him enough for what he has done for me.

I love being a Patrick Martin Scholar at Iona because of all the opportunities that it provides me: attending the Trustee Dinner, receiving an iPad, and even attending Iona in the first place were all made possible thanks to Dr. Martin and I am always thankful for the choices that led me to where I am.
