Frances Bailie

Frances Bailie received a BA from the College of New Rochelle in Mathematics, an MA from Fordham University in Mathematics and a Ph.D. from Columbia University in Mathematics Education. She has been teaching at Iona for over 35 years, including courses in programming, computer literacy, telecommunications, web design and programming, and educational technology. Dr. Bailie has been the CS Internship Coordinator for over 25 years, assisting students in securing credit and non-credit work experiences in computing. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, she has held several administrative positions at Iona and continues to serve on numerous committees at the College, school, and department level. Dr. Bailie is currently chair of the Computer Science Department and the Coordinator of Freshman Advisement and Learning Communities in the School of Arts & Science.
