Dr. Wolfson is an associate professor of undergraduate and graduate courses in literacy and language arts. His educational interests include: teacher training; literacy coaching in elementary, middle and high schools; utilizing audio books to improve literacy; recreational education; and implementing business practices in education. Prior to his appointment to Iona’s faculty, Dr. Wolfson was a private school administrator for more than 20 years. He served as a field supervisor for student teaching; reading specialist for adolescents; reading clinician for students with special needs; and as a classroom teacher for inner city students. Dr. Wolfson is a past president of the Long Island Association of Private Schools and Day Camps and consulted with camp professionals in the areas of camper safety and child abuse. Dr. Wolfson has also served as the adviser to Iona’s Education Club and the Honor Society (Pi Lambda Theta).
