Thomas E. Mussio, Ph.D., associate professor, has been a member of the Iona College faculty since 2002.  Dr. Mussio teaches all levels of Italian in the Department of Foreign Languages and occasionally teaches in the Honors Program's humanities sequence. He has served as the chair of the Foreign Languages and as the director of the Italian graduate programs at Iona and has organized and led study abroad experiences in Italy for Iona students.  His research focuses on late medieval and early modern literature, with particular interest in the Italian lyric poetry in these periods.  He has published numerous articles on Dante, Petrarch, Michelangelo, and Marino.
