David Cundy is Clinical Professor in the Mass Communication Department at Iona. David has over 25 years' experience integrating design, technology and communications. His teaching experience includes Manhattanville College, Parsons School of Design, Pratt Institute and Yale University.
At Iona, David is an Advisory Committee member of the Institute for Thomas Paine Studies, whose website (http://www.thomaspainestudies.org) he designed. He has chaired or presented at Iona conferences on Thomas Paine, Intellectual Property, and Global Business. David's academic interests in mass communications are wide-ranging, and include digital literacy, for which he has developed undergraduate and graduate curricula, information graphics, intellectual property and privacy.
David's wide range of professional experience includes branding, graphic design, advertising and web development; He is founder and executive of Design Trust, an integrated agency at which he has developed branding, communications and web programs for such clients as AT&T, GE, IBM, Pfizer and Xerox. A long-time communications process innovator, he has led development of innovative communications process and analytical tools.
David's professional association memberships have included the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (AEJMC), the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA), the Design Management Institute (DMI) and the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC). He holds a master's degree in graphic design from Yale University, and a bachelor's degree in art from the University of Iowa.
