Nadine Barnett Cosby
Nadine Barnett Cosby is a writer and producer whose works are heavily rooted in the exploration of gender, racial and cultural representation, and span across various media including film, television and new media. With over twenty years of experience in radio, television and film, working in several capacities at notable media outlets including Madison Square Garden, Fox5 Television, Lifetime Television Networks and Disney/ABC to name a few, Nadine established her own freelance business in which she continues to write, direct and produce projects for film, television and the internet.
An alumna of Iona (’96 MS in Communication Arts), Nadine is currently a full time Clinical Faculty member in the department of Mass Communication teaching undergraduate courses in the TV/Video Curriculum and also serves as an advisor to ICTV, the college’s Television Club. Nadine also received a BA in Mass Communications from Lehman College and an MA in Media Studies & Film from The New School for Public Engagement. Nadine is currently a member of the Board of Directors for College Careers of Westchester, The Picture House, and Jack & Jill of Westchester. Her professional associations have included The Producers Guild of America, East; African American Women in Cinema; IFP; and National Broadcasting Society.
