How to Apply

Let's get started.

You’re taking the first step in an exciting process to find your fit at Iona, and we are committed to making the transfer process smooth and worry-free.

Transfer applications are processed on a rolling basis, so there are no formal deadlines. We recommend that you submit all necessary documents as soon as possible in order to receive a timely admissions decision, unofficial credit evaluation and financial aid package – the sooner the better!

Step 1. Complete an Application

At Iona, you can use the Common App or our Iona Transfer Application whichever you prefer. Both options make it simple for you to get through the transfer application process. Create an account with Common App or Iona, and be sure to complete all required fields on your transfer application!

Step 2. Send us Your Transcripts

In order to make an admissions decision, we will need to see your final high school transcript or equivalent GED report.

We will also need a copy of transcripts from all colleges or universities attended in order to evaluate for and award transfer credit.

Copies of your official transcripts should be sent directly to our Admissions team:

Step 2. Send us Your TOEFL Scores

Please submit TOEFL scores if your first language is a language other than English, even if English has been the language of your instruction. If English is your first language, please submit SAT or ACT scores in place of the TOEFL.

Step 3. Send us Your External Examination Results

We will need to see your external examination results or leaving certificate appropriate to your country. These would include "A-levels," CXCs, Baccalaureate or Abiturv (for students with fewer than 24 college credits attempted, as granted by WES).

Step 4. Send us a NACES Evaluation

Please supply an evaluation of international college transcript performed by one of the evaluation services recognized by NACES.

To receive transfer credit please supply the World Educations Services (WES) with an official final transcript to provide an evaluation of how we should interpret your previous work for transfer credit purposes.
