Teaching Kids to Move the World
Michael Carpentieri, who holds an MS in teaching degree from Iona, recently graduated from Iona’s MSEd in special education and literacy program, ready to make a difference in the lives of young children. As an elementary school teacher, Mike draws on the skills and hands-on experience he gained through Iona’s education programs, which are NCATE accredited and recognized for excellence.
During his graduate studies, Mike worked closely with department faculty who have years of teaching and school administrative experience, and were able to provide valuable guidance as well as local knowledge and connections along the way.
With opportunities to mentor students in New Rochelle public schools and intensive classroom experience through field placements, Iona’s graduate programs in education are preparing the next generation of teachers to serve the needs of children and inspire them to move to move the world.
