Off-Campus Housing co-sponsors a number of programs and service opportunities for students and community members. Since its inception in July 2008 Off-Campus Housing has co-sponsor(ed):

  • A college and community movie night on the Library Green, downtown New Rochelle. Students from Monroe, Iona, and College of New Rochelle were invited to watch The Great Debaters outdoors on a large blow up screen!
  • The annual Make a Difference Week celebration in which hundreds of students participate in on and off-campus volunteer events including writing letters to soldiers, collecting school supplies for a Christian Brother school in Africa, tutoring, planting daffodils with the New Rochelle Garden Club, community clean-ups, basketball clinics for local youth, serving food at soup kitchens, visiting the Wartburg Nursing Home, making food and going on a Midnight Run, building for Habitat for Humanity, etc.
  • The annual "Cards of Hope" program recognizing those individuals in the community who make a difference in our community every day. Students and volunteers make cards for Neighborhood Association presidents, PACT officers, New Rochelle firemen, city council members, New Rochelle citizens, Iona staff, administrators, and faculty, and people in their lives they wanted to recognize.
