Life on campus: Best of both worlds
You can live on campus your first year through your senior year!
Most of our undergraduates choose to live on campus and enjoy all the benefits of a beautiful, secure and lively environment. Just 20 miles from New York City, and convenient to all the amenities of our local community, on-campus living has the best of both worlds.
Here’s why our students choose campus living during their years at Iona:
Hassle-free. On-campus housing is available all four years, so you don’t have to go through the hassle of renting apartments off-campus.
More cost-effective. No monthly bills for electricity, heat, water, Internet, cable, parking, waste and snow removal, furniture, cleaning, maintenance, food and 24/7 security–all are included!
Safe and Secure. Iona’s Campus Safety and Security Department works 24/7 to ensure a safe environment for our community. There are security cameras in the residence halls and around campus.
Convenient. Walk to class, meetings, the library and gatherings with friends. No need to drive, pay for gas or search for a parking space.
The Office of Residential Life serves students who complete all forms and qualify for housing based on admission qualifications and as space allows. The program offers several distinct living environments, each with its own special features.
Consistent with Iona College’s mission and the core values of the Christian Brothers, The Office of Residential Life strives to foster a safe, inclusive, respectful, and engaging community that enhances the student learning experience.
Living in Iona College housing expands the many opportunities to become a successful member of the community and to take advantage of student life at Iona.
Living on campus is cost effective and convenient, increases the sense of community, and provides additional faculty interaction, enhancing academic, social, and spiritual growth.
The Office of Residential Life is committed to providing students with opportunities for growth and development. By providing leadership and employment opportunities, as well as social events, that equip students with a greater sense of awareness and responsibility, we are committed to enhancing the on campus experience.
Each resident is assigned a Resident Assistant who has been trained to be a campus resource and is available to answer questions about campus and living in the residence halls. Resident Assistants are supervised by a Masters Level Residence Hall Director. To see who the Resident Assistant of each floor is, please click on the residence halls link and select the appropriate hall.
