The Gaels Activities Board (GAB) serves as the central programming organization at Iona College. GAB seeks to provide educational, social, cultural, recreation, and social campus wide programs, keeping in mind the varied interests represented in our diverse student population. Jean-Carlos Polonia – Co-Chair
Jean-Carlos Polonia, better known as JC, is eager to carry out another year with the Gaels Activities Board! Returning from being Diversity Chair for the academic 2014-2015 school year, JC is now taking on the role of Co-Chair, along with Marcus Evans, for the 2015-2016 school year. JC is a Junior at Iona College majoring in psychology and minoring in biology. He is a member of the Edmund Rice Society, Psychology Club, Pre-Health Club, the Gael Guides, and Pi Kappa Phi National Fraternity. Along with working in the Office of Student Development and the previous clubs, he will also be a first year Resident Assistant. JC looks forward to surpassing the previous year’s expectations and giving Iona and its dedicated students the awesome programing that they deserve!
Marcus Evans – Co-Chair
Marcus Evans is a fun, family oriented, and energetic junior from Brooklyn, NY studying Criminal Justice. He was the Travel and Tours Chair for the Gaels Activity Board during the 2014-2015 academic year. He is looking forward to providing Iona with many fun experiences this year. Marcus is thrilled to be working with his good friend JC as Co-Chairs for the Gael Activities Board during 2015-2016.
John Beckerle – Secretary
John Beckerle is so excited to start his position as the secretary of the Gaels activities board 2015-2016. John is a fun loving, passionate student from Pearl River NY in Rockland county and is going into his junior year at Iona college as an Accounting major. Besides GAB, John is also involved with Edmund Rice society, Gaelic society, and the instrumental ensemble. He enjoys playing guitar, skiing, surfing, playing lacrosse, and hanging out with friends. John is eager to be helping create, plan, and host amazing events at Iona this year to give the students an equally amazing experience!
Amanda Cifelli – Series Programming Chair
Amanda Cifelli is a passionate individual that is prepared to explore her first year on GAB as the Series Programming Chair for 2015-2016! Amanda is a sophomore at Iona College studying Broadcast. She is also the Secretary of the Italian Society and can be seen doing some more student activities like Iona’s Intramurals! Although being born and raised in New Jersey, Amanda loves the community of Iona and enjoys living as a resistant on campus. She is excited to make this school year one to remember!
Michael Pepe – Recreational Programming Chair
Michael Pepe is super thrilled to be the 2015-2016 recreational programming chair of the Gaels Activities Board. Michael is a sophomore at Iona College studying biology with a pre-professional concentration. Previously, Michael was a dedicated member of the Iona College men's rowing team, and is currently serving as a resident assistant in East Hall. In addition, he is a devoted member of the Biology Club, and is an orientation leader of the Edmund Rice Society. Michael is originally from Long Island, but when he's not there he enjoys being on campus in New Rochelle and hanging out with some of his friends. Michael is confident that this will be a very successful year. He looks forward to working with all of the students at Iona and hopes that everyone will have a great time.
Adrian Trivino – Public Relations Chair for Graphics & Promotions
Elizabeth Moon – Public Relations Chair for Social Media & Rebranding
Elizabeth is a Senior at Iona and is so thrilled to be the 2015-2016 Public Relations Chair for Social Media and Branding on the Gaels Activities Board. She is majoring in Marketing and is excited to use her marketing background to help her fellow Gaels get excited about upcoming activities. Last year she was an active general member for the Gaels Activities Board, and a member of the Marketing Club. Elizabeth is looking forward to an amazing last year on campus!
