Fr. Frank Dixon, O.Carm.

Chaplain

Fr. Frank joined the Office of Mission and Ministry as the full-time College Chaplain in January, 2009. He presides at the Sunday Liturgy on Sunday evenings at 6:00 pm in Holy Family Church and at most of the daily liturgies Monday-Thursday at 12:30 pm in Blessed Edmund Ignatius Rice Chapel. He coordinates the RCIA program. He also works closely with the Liturgy Committee and as the Spiritual Advisor to the Kairos Retreat Team.

Fr. Frank first professed his vows as a Carmelite in 1971 and was ordained a Catholic priest in 1976. Before coming to Iona, he spent most of his life in ministry to young people in various places as a teacher, formation director, campus minister and most recently as Pastor at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Middletown, NY.
