If a student is unable to register for courses at Iona in a given term, the student may maintain active status by enrolling in a non-credit Maintaining Matriculation course. There is a $25 fee associated with this course. Enrollment in this course will allow students to:
retain their Iona e-mail accounts during the period of inactivity and receive all college communications;
receive an enrollment appointment for the upcoming term and
maintain degree currency and thereby keep the same degree requirements upon their return to the College.
There are no class meetings associated with this course. Students may register for maintaining matriculation for a maximum of two terms throughout the course of their academic program.
If a graduate student is finishing a thesis course from a previous term, the student must register for the Thesis Continuation course. There is a $100 fee associated with this course, and permission to register for the course must be obtained through the appropriate Dean’s Office.
Students must contact the Registrar’s Office in order to register for the Maintaining Matriculation or the Thesis Continuation course.
