Meal Plans

All on-campus resident and full-time commuter students are required to have a meal plan.

On-campus residents are enrolled in a full meal plan, which is included in Food and Housing charges. Full-time commuter students are enrolled in a commuter-level plan per semester.

The meal plan program for freshman, sophomore and junior residential students, as well as all meal plan upgrades, is a plan that includes meal exchange swipes and declining balance points. Senior residential students take part in a meal program that utilizes a declining balance system of points.

You can always check your balance on receipts received at participating  eateries, on the Boost Mobile app (download Boost App here), and through the Office of Business Services.

Meal Plan Benefits

  • Meal plans can be used throughout the school year, from the first day of the fall semester to the end of the spring semester.
  • Meal exchange swipes are allocated weekly depending on the meal plan you have selected: 10, 12, or 15 swipes per week. Swipes in these plans expire weekly on Fridays at midnight and replenish automatically on Saturdays at 12:01 a.m.
  • Unused points at the end of the fall semester roll forward for use in the spring semester.
  • Unused points at the end of the spring semester do not roll over to the following academic year and are forfeited.
  • All meal plan purchases on campus are sales tax exempt.

Adding Meal Plan Funds

You can purchase additional meal plan points in increments of $50, as well as bundles of meal exchange swipes, through our online payment portal. If you wish to add points or meal exchange swipe bundles using check or cash, please visit Student Financial Services.

Pay Online

On-Campus points may be used at our on-campus dining locations and Flex points may be used at participating off-campus dining locations.

Meal Plan exchange swipes may only be used at our on-campus dining locations and expire weekly on Fridays at midnight. Learn more about meal plan swipes here.

You are welcome to select from any of the Meal Plan Upgrades. Students may be able to use financial aid funds in excess of standard charges to pay for meal plan upgrades. Please speak with your Student Financial Services counselor to learn more. Any cancellations or requests for refunds will follow the housing refund schedule.
