Meal Plan: Residential Students
Resident students in Loftus, Rice, Conese and South Halls, the Apartments at Eastchester and the Residence Inn - New Rochelle, all participate in the full meal plan offered at Iona College. The meal plan is included in Room and Board charges for resident students. Participation in the full meal plan is mandatory for all on-campus residents and is part of your on-campus housing contract.
Full meal plan participants receive $1,910 per semester. The meal plan monies are divided into two declining balance flexible accounts.
Full meal plan participants will receive $1,110 in Chartwells points each semester. Chartwells points (dollars) can be used on campus in:
Vitanza Commons at Spellman Hall
Cardinal O'Connor Café at Ryan Library
Starbucks on lower-level of LaPenta Student Union
Food and beverages purchased at College eateries with a meal plan are not subject to NY State sales tax.
The second account is to be used at participating off-campus restaurants. Full meal plan participants will receive $800 per semester to be used at all 21 participating off-campus restaurants and the on-campus eateries. Food and beverages purchased at the off-campus locations are subject to NY State sales tax
Funds which remain unspent at the end of the fall semester, roll over to the spring semester. Any funds unspent at the end of the spring semester are forfeited. The monies allocated cannot be interchanged between campus and North Avenue accounts.
If you run out of funds on your meal card, you can add funds by purchasing one of the meal plans below:
Gold Plan: Open a meal plan with $500 (or a multiple of $500) and receive an additional $25 for each $500 increment. Increments can be added at any time during the semester, but must be added in the full $500 amount to gain the additional $25. The meal plan enables students to choose from four on-campus sites as well as 12 off-campus eateries.
Student pays $500, student has $525 available to spend

Silver Plan: Open a meal plan with $250. Students may add to their plan in $50 increments throughout the academic year. The meal plan enables students to choose from four on-campus sites as well as twelve off-campus eateries.
Maroon Plan: Open a meal plan account for as little as $100, and students may add to the plan in $50 increments throughout the academic year. The meal plan enables students to choose from four on-campus sites as well as twelve off-campus eateries.
Adding Funds to Your Meal Card
To add funds to an existing meal plan using a debit or credit card, please click on the secure Meal Plan Payment link below. Any monies added via the Meal Plan Payment link will be posted to the student's meal plan account on the following business day by noon.
If you wish to add to your meal plan with a cash or check payment, please go to Student Financial Services, McSpedon Hall, 2nd floor. Monies will be added to the meal plan when the payment is received. All additional monies are added to the off-campus points account, which can be used at any participating dining location on or off campus.
