  • Accessing PeopleSoft

    PeopleSoft is accessible via the MyIona Single Sign On System (SSO). To access PeopleSoft:
    1. Open your web browser. 
    2. From the Iona College homepage, go to Quick Links and select Online Services. You will see the MyIona SSO login page.
    3. Enter your Computer ID and Computer Password and click on the Login button. You will now see the MyIona SSO Landing Page.
    4. Click on the PeopleSoft icon to access the application.  No need to log in again.
    Please log out by clicking on the Sign Out button logout on the upper right corner of the main SSO page.


    Forgotten Password Help

    You can manage your Computer Password through the Password Station system. As long as you have set up your "forgotten password help" questions, you can change your password by clicking on the Forgot Your Password link on the Single Sign On System login page.

    *If you have not set up your help questions for Password Station, contact the Help Desk to reset your password (914) 633-2635.
  • Search for Classes

    To Browse Course Catalog:

    1. Choose 'Self Service' from the PeopleSoft Main Screen.
    2. Choose 'Browse Course Catalog'. All courses offered are listed alphabetically (subject code).
    3. Click on the 'Course Title' to view Course Detail.

    To Search for Classes:

    1. Choose 'Self Service' from the PeopleSoft Main Screen.
    2. Choose 'Class Search'.
    3. Fill in the necessary fields and then choose 'Search' to find those classes that meet your criteria. You must select at least 2 search criteria.
    4. Choose 'View All Sections' to show all sections that fit your criteria.
      Note:  open Indicates the section is still open to students for registration. closed/full Indicates the section is closed (full).
    5. Click the section to see more details on the course, such as the class capacity, total enrollment, number of available seats and the description of the course.
    6. Choose 'View Search Results' when done to go back to the Search Results screen.
    7. Choose 'Start a New Search' to look for other classes or close out of your browser when done.
  • View Your Compensation History

    To View Your Compensation History in PeopleSoft

    1. Select Self Service.

  • View Your Paycheck

    To View Your Paycheck in PeopleSoft

    1. Select Self Service.

    3. Once in the View Paycheck area, click on the hyperlink in the View Paycheck column to display a PDF of your Paycheck. View Paycheck
  • View/Edit Your Personal Information


    1. Choose 'Self Service' from the PeopleSoft Main Screen.

    3. Choose 'Personal Data Summary'. Personal Data
    4. To edit your personal information, click on the links in the Contact Information box and make any necessary changes.
  • Change User Preferences


    1. Choose 'Self Service' from the PeopleSoft Main Screen.

    2. Choose 'Campus Personal Information'.
    3. Choose 'User Preferences'. user preferences
    4. Click on the down arrow next to each box to choose one of the following:
      Institution: Iona College
      Academic Career: Select Undergraduate, Graduate Arts and Science, or Graduate Business
      Term: Select Term (click on the magnifying glass to the right of the term field, then click on Look Up to select the term)
      Aid Year: Choose current academic year Fill in user preferences fields
    5. Click on Save.
  • Access Your Faculty Center


    1. Choose 'Self Service' from the PeopleSoft Main Screen.
    2. Choose 'Faculty Center'.
  • Class Roster

    To see your Class Roster


    1. Choose 'Self Service' from the PeopleSoft Main Screen.

      If necessary, change the term by clicking on the button 'Change Term'. Select the term you would like by clicking on the button to the left of the correct term, then click on 'Continue'. Change Term
    3. Choose the Class Roster icon UDrive located on the left of each row/class.

    To Export your Class Roster to Excel

    1. Follow the instruction above to see your class roster.
    2. Look for the icon above your roster list that looks like a white grid with a red arrow pointing to it. Export to Excel
    3. If you click on this icon it will export your roster as an Excel file.
    Note: Make sure your pop-up blocker is off
  • Attendance Roster & Absentee Report

    To Access the Attendance Roster


    1. Choose 'Self Service' from the PeopleSoft Main Screen.

    2. Choose 'Faculty Center'. Faculty Center
      If necessary, change the term by clicking on the button 'Change Term'. Select the term you would like by clicking on the button to the left of the correct term, then click on 'Continue'. Change Term
    3. Choose the Attendance Roster icon Attendance Rooster located to the right of the Class Roster in the row/class.
      Note: Hybrid and Distance Learning classes do not receive Attendance Rosters in PeopleSoft. Attendance Rooster
    4. Click 'View' the button in order to update the student’s attendance for the class meeting you wish to enter the data for. View

    Taking Attendance

    Attendance Roster ScreenIn the Present column, the default option means that a student is not in attendance (not present). To indicate the student is in attendance (present), click on the check box in the Present column. If the student was present but tardy, click on the check box in the Tardy column. Click on the check box in the Left Early column if the student was present but left early.

    Canceling Class

    If you need to cancel the class, click on the 'Cancel Class' link. Cancel Class
    After you have updated the Attendance Roster, click the 'Save and Return' button to save your submission and go back to the Attendance Roster By Class page.

    To Print an Absentee Report

    When you are in the Attendance Roster By Class page, click on the 'Print Absentee Report' button. Print Absentee Report
    Note: The process may take several minutes.

  • Recording Grades

    To Access Your Grade Roster


    1. Choose 'Self Service' from the PeopleSoft Main Screen.

    2. Choose 'Faculty Center'. Faculty Center
      If necessary, change the term by clicking on the button 'Change Term'. Select the term you would like by clicking on the button to the left of the correct term, then click on 'Continue'. Change Term
    3. Choose the Grade Roster icon Grade Roster located to the right of the Attendance Roster of each row/class.
      Note: Grade Rosters are made available about a week before grades are due. Grade Roster
    4. Select the Grade Roster Type: New Freshman, Mid Term, or Final Grade.

      Note: New Freshman Mid term will only appear for faculty who are required to enter a mid term grade.
    5. Select the student’s grade from the drop down menu in the Roster Grade column. Select Grades
    6. Upon completion, click 'Save'.
      Note: This does not send the grades to the Registrar!
    7. To send the grades to the Registrar, change the Approval status on the top of the page to 'Approved'.

    8. Click 'Save'.
    Quick Tip: For Grade Recording I, FA and W are not available to you. Each of these grades requires a form to be signed by you and the Dean's office.
  • Access Your Advisor Center

    1. Choose 'Self Service' from the PeopleSoft Main Screen.
    2. Choose 'Advisor Center'.
  • Remove an Advisement Hold

    1. Choose 'Campus Community' from the PeopleSoft Main Screen.
    2. Choose 'Manage Service Indicators'.
    3. Enter the Student’s Last Name or ID (Student ID Number).
    4. Click on 'Search'.
    5. Click on the Student’s name or ID from the returned list.
    6. Under the “Code” column, click on 'SRO'.
      Note: If you do not see SRO, the advisement hold has been removed.
    7. Click on the 'Release' button.
    8. The Advisement Hold is now removed from the list of Codes.
  • View Your Adviseeā€™s Transcripts

    1. Choose 'Self Service' from the PeopleSoft Main Screen.
    2. Choose 'Advisor Center'.
    3. Choose 'My Advisees' to see your Advisee Roster.
    4. Click on 'View Student Details'. This will take you to the chosen advisee’s 'Student Center'.
    5. Under Academics, click on the down arrow to open the drop down menu. Select 'Transcript: View Unofficial'.
    6. Click on the '>>'  button.
    7. In the Report Type drop down menu, choose 'Unofficial Transcript'.
    8. Click 'Go'.
  • View Student Transcripts for any Students (not in your Advisee list)

    1. Choose 'Self Service' from the PeopleSoft Main Screen.
    2. Choose 'Advisor Center'.
    3. Choose 'My Advisees' to see your Advisee Roster.
    4. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on 'View Data for Other Students'.
    5. Enter the student’s Last Name or ID (Student ID Number)
    6. Click 'Search'.
    7. Click on the Student’s name or ID from the returned list.
    8. This will take you to the student’s "Student Center."
