Advancement and External Affairs Mission Statement
The Iona College division of Advancement and External Affairs is a team of dedicated professionals who promote the Mission of the College through integrated efforts that enhance the College’s image, broaden its identity and build long-term, voluntary relationships between Iona College and its constituencies in order to stimulate greater understanding and support.
Departments in Advancement and External Affairs
Alumni Relations & Special Events provides alumni with events, activities, programs and services to create, foster and renew lifelong connections between alumni and the College.
Annual Giving builds a sense of community at Iona by providing the opportunity for solicitation of funds to defray the cost of maintaining facilities and programs crucial to Iona.
Capital Campaign gathers financial resources through the cultivation, involvement and stewardship of donors who are committed to ensuring the current and future vitality of the institution.
College Marketing and Communications (MarCom) focuses on internal and external image of Iona College including reputation management, Web and social media presence, branding, flagship publication, college events, marketing, advertising and media relations. Media Relations communicates the value and essence of an Iona College education to its key publics, maximizing awareness and understanding of the activities and mission of the College though various channels of mass media. The office is committed to developing and maintaining Iona's positive relationship with its internal and external audiences. MarCom also produces various College publications such as the Iona College Magazine and Honor Roll of Donors.
Corporate, Foundation and Government Relations develops and strengthens relationships with corporate, foundation and government entities for the purpose of stimulating interest, participation and financial support for Iona's programs and initiatives. We also work with donors who are interested in establishing a new scholarship at Iona or contributing to an existing one.
Research provides timely and responsive information services to support the advancement efforts of the College.
