Prepared to explore the world through a new Science Facility

Future global economic prosperity will depend on student success in the fields of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). Colleges that dedicate resources to their science and technology curricula today will prepare students for success in the future.
At Iona, five key and interconnected science and technology departments have outgrown their facilities. Currently spread out among many buildings, science students lack opportunities for interaction with each other and their professors. A renovated science building will promote interdisciplinary education, collaboration and problem-solving to address 21st century challenges.
The enhanced facilities will expand faculty-mentored research, provide modern teaching and laboratory space and ultimately raise the level of academic visibility on a regional, national and international level.
State-of-the-art facilities for five departments: Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Mathematics and Physics.
Open laboratory design.
Multiple collaborative work spaces.
Technologically sophisticated classrooms and laboratories.
Additional teaching and research laboratories.
