Family Greeting

On behalf of the Nyre family, I want to say congratulations to the 8th President of Iona College – My dad.

He may not look it, but he's really cool.

My dad always says that Iona College is great because of the people. He talks about the students and faculty and all the good people at Iona. He tells us stories about Edmund Rice and the Christian Brothers. We get to play basketball with some of the Brothers because they used to live in our house and because Dad likes the Brothers a lot.

The house we live in is pretty neat and we have lots of people visit. This means I can go to bed late sometimes. That's cool, too.

On Sundays we go to Church, of course. But we also like to hit baseballs and ride our bikes around campus. Charlie thinks the entire campus is his backyard.

On behalf of my mom, Hadley, Charlie, and me, we are happy to share his great sense of dedication and commitment with all of you – the Iona community. Dad, you have all of our support in all that you will do as President of this great Iona College.
