The Fine and Performing Arts Department supports the mission of Iona College through its commitment to enhancing the academic, intellectual and philosophical development of students through the systematic study of music, dance, theater, and the visual arts in the liberal arts tradition.
The department seeks to provide all students with the foundations for an aesthetic literacy, both in traditional and contemporary modes.
Besides providing a passport to an integration with all other liberal arts disciplines, the study of music, dance, theater, and the visual arts helps to build the bridges necessary for connecting knowledge with the greater issues of value and meaning. Read More »
