Adjunct Assistant Professor
Catherine Tharin has been choreographing since l993. She has shown her work
throughout the metropolitan area and has received choreographic commissions from
George Washington University and Hope College. She has been an
artist-in-residence at colleges and universities across the United States and
abroad. Ms. Tharin's dance and aesthetic development were primarily formed while
dancing as a soloist with the Erick Hawkins Dance Company where she served as
rehearsal director and director of the school. She graduated with a BA in art
history from Connecticut College and holds an MA from Columbia University. She
serves as board member of the field and as a dance committee member of the 92nd
Street YMHA.
