Adjunct Professor

Patricia G. Cohen holds Masters degrees from Teachers College, Columbia University and Stanford University. An adjunct professor in the Fine and Performing Arts department at Iona College, Ms. Cohen teaches courses in ballet, jazz dance, world dance and dance appreciation. She has been honored to serve on the Iona College Council on the Arts.

Ms. Cohen serves on the Board of Directors of the National Dance Education Organization, which in 2011, conferred on her the prestigious Leadership Award. She has contributed scholarly research to the peer review Journal of Dance Education. She is co-editor and a contributing writer for Dance in Culture, a dance education textbook, which introduces dance to middle and high school students. She frequently presents scholarly and pedagogical workshops at the National Dance Education Organization (NDEO) and Dance and the Child International (daCi) conferences. She also teaches in the dance education program at the NYU/Steinhardt School of Culture, Education and Human Development, where she is Academic Advisor for the NYU/ABT dance education masters degree with emphasis on ABT ballet pedagogy.
