Rachel Burgess
Visual Art
Rachel Burgess has a BA in Comparative Literature from Yale University (2004), where
she also studied Art and Art History. In addition, she has an MFA in Illustration from the School of Visual Arts (2007).
As a freelance illustrator and printmaker, Burgess has exhibited work in shows throughout New York City, New York
State and Maine. She is scheduled to appear in international shows in Israel and Paris. Her illustrations have been
published by David R. Godine, Mercury House, Abingdon Press, Marsh Hawk Press, J. Crew and more. Her work has been
recognized by 3x3 Magazine, CMYK, and the Society of Illustrators.
