The ability to communicate is the single most important skill we can ever hope to possess.

It is that which separates us from other species, allows us to build complex cultural and religious organizations, and is the foundation of a democratic society. Without it, we would lose our very humanity.

Prerequisite Program

Looking for a new Career Path? Consider taking Prerequisite Courses at Iona College in preparation for a graduate degree in Speech- Language Pathology.

The United States Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics states that: "Employment of speech-language pathologists is expected to grow by 19 percent from 2008- 2018, faster than the average for all occupations."
