Dr. Ferrero-Paluzzi is currently an Associate Professor of Speech Communication Studies at Iona College.
Research interests:
include health communication, philosophy of communication, physician-patient relationships, communication apprehension, narrative storytelling, tourism, nonverbal communication, medical curricula, therapy dogs and aging in healthcare.
Her publications include the Florida Journal of Communication, American Communication Journal, Carolinas Annual, and the online publication Kappa Omicron Nu. She is currently working with Professor Armiento-DeMaria on a project on using a therapy dog in the Speech Clinic as a way to stimulate speech production.
Dr. Ferrero-Paluzzi is the founder and director of the Speakers' Center and works with students and community members who have communication anxiety and/or want to improve public speaking delivery. She is a vocal coach, communication consultant, and accent modification professional.
