A Message from the Chair

The ability to communicate is the single most important skill we can ever hope to possess. It is that which separates us from other species, allows us to build complex cultural and religious organizations, and is the foundation of a democratic society. Without it, we would lose our very humanity.  

Our department can prepare you for a variety of careers and inspire a lifelong appreciation for the communication process. Our two concentrations are truly student-oriented, tailored to meet the needs and goals of individual students. As you browse through, you will see that we focus in the following areas:
