The Biology Department offers a number of programs to provide our students the flexibility to choose the program that best suits their interests and career goals. Each program has been carefully designed to allow our students to make the most of their undergraduate careers at Iona. Whether students go to medical, dental, or other professional schools, or go onto research, education, pharmacy, or even business, the Biology Department will provide them with the skills to succeed in their lives ahead.

The Biology Department offers four different degree programs from which a student may choose:

• Biology, with three concentration areas
  • General Biology
  • Pre-Professional
  • Pre-Physical Therapy
• Biochemistry, in conjunction with the Chemistry Department
• Environmental Science
• Interdisciplinary Science
