Assistant Professor Thomas Castonguay received his Ph. D. in Physical Chemistry from the University of Vermont. His research interests encompass a variety of topics in the field of Computational/Theoretical Chemistry. Current explorations in the Castonguay group involve the determination of the free energies of formation of aerosol clusters using high-level quantum chemical calculations. Other areas of study include the application of the Kinetic Monte Carlo method to model chemical processes that occur on multiple timescales.
CSI is the program established to provide information about career opportunities in the sciences and in science related fields to Iona students.
