Frances Bailie

 

Dr. Bailie received a BA from the College of New Rochelle in Mathematics, an MA from Fordham University in Mathematics and a PhD from Columbia University in Mathematics Education. She has taught at Iona for over 30 years: courses in programming, computer literacy, telecommunications, web design and programming, and educational technology. Dr. Bailie has been the CS Internship Coordinator for over 20 years, assisting students in securing credit and non credit work experiences in computing. Her current research interests are in computer literacy, assessment, and educational technology. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, she has several administrative positions at Iona. Dr. Bailie is currently assistant chair and graduate coordinator in the CS Department and the Coordinator of Freshman Advisement in the School of Arts & Science. She has served, and continues to serve, on numerous committees at the college, school, and department level.
