Founded to meet the needs of individuals and families in stress and to promote emotional growth.

Welcome to the Department of Pastoral Counseling & Marriage and Family Therapy.

The Department of Pastoral Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy offers unique and comprehensive MS degrees in pastoral counseling and marriage and family therapy, and a post-master's certificate in marriage and family therapy. The Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy currently is in Candidacy status with the Commission of Accreditation for Marriage and Family Therapy Education through 6/30/09. The Department of Pastoral Counseling & Marriage and Family Therapy contributes its services to the surrounding communities via The Iona Pastoral Counseling & Family Therapy Center. A non-profit center in operation for over thirty years, it is staffed by pastoral counselors and marriage and family therapists under the supervision of Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists who are also AAMFT Approved Supervisors. The center was founded to meet the needs of individuals and families in stress and to promote emotional growth.

The Journal of Pastoral Counseling is published annually by the Graduate Department of Pastoral and Family Counseling at Iona College in New Rochelle, New York. Each issue generally covers a theme within counseling, whether practical or theoretical in nature.
