Dr. Kim Marino joined the Criminal Justice Department as an adjunct instructor in 1997. She assumed full-time teaching duties in 1998 and spent the next several years teaching in both the graduate and undergraduate programs. Dr. Marino left the Department in 2002 and spent the next few years teaching in the Criminal Justice Program at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY. She returned to the Criminal Justice Department as a full-time faculty member in September, 2008.
Dr. Marino received a BA in Criminal Justice from Southern Vermont College, an MA in Criminal Justice Management and Planning from Long Island University, and a PhD in Criminal Justice from the Graduate Center, City University of New York.
Her research interests include sex offender management, juvenile justice, and mental health issues in the criminal justice system. Dr. Marino is currently the Regional Vice President for the Criminal Justice Educator's Association of New York State (CJEANYS), and serves as the faculty advisor to the Criminal Justice Honor Society.
