PROGRAM: Criminal Justice

Master of Science in Criminal JusticeCampus Location: New Rochelle

Specific focus of the program: Advanced degree in criminal justice theory, research, and practice.

The degree requires 18 credits in core courses, 15 credits in electives within the areas of Deviance, Criminal Justice System, and Computer Applications, and a choice of a thesis or computer-based research.

  • Faculty are seasoned professionals with many years within the justice system.
  • Many students have experience in the criminal justice field.

Two hours, one evening a week

Average course load per term: 2 (three credits each)

Credits to completion: 33

Average time to complete degree: 2 years

Preferred academic preparation or background experience: BA or BS in criminal justice or a related field.

Application deadline: rolling admissions

Admission requirements:

  • application for admission;
  • official transcripts from all colleges attended;
  • three professional letters of recommendation; and
  • minimum GPA 3.0 or at discretion of the director.
  • Resume and interview are required if GPA is below 3.0.
