The Iona College Economics Club was founded in the 1950s as the Economics
Colloquium, and undertakes a variety of activities. Membership is open to all students interested in Economics.
Members of the Economics Club have toured the New York Federal Reserve Bank, the New York Stock Exchange, and have attended lectures by distinguished economists hosted by the Economics Section of the New York Academy of Sciences. Members have also staffed the annual meetings of the Eastern Economic Association and have edited the Business Page of Iona's campus newspaper, the Ionian. The Club actively participates in campus activities such as Founders' Day and Homecoming. The Club is presently moderated by Dr. Mary H. Lesser.

Club Members Visit New York Federal Reserve Bank
Members of the Economics Club regularly tour the New York Federal Reserve Bank generally in April. They meet with Caroline Boyce ’85, who has been at the New York Federal Reserve since graduation and is currently a bank supervisor. In that position Caroline is responsible for a team of examiners and a portfolio of 30 domestic and foreign banks. She also participates in technical assistance missions with the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund.
