Associate Professor of Education
Dr. Wolfson is an associate professor of undergraduate and graduate courses in Literacy and Language Arts. His educational interests include: literacy coaching in middle and high schools; utilizing audio books to improve literacy; implementing business practices in education; and recreational education. Prior to his appointment to Iona’s faculty, Dr Wolfson was a private school administrator for over twenty years. He served as a field supervisor for student teaching; reading specialist for adolescents; reading clinician for students with special needs; and as a classroom teacher for inner city students. Dr. Wolfson is a past president of the Long Island Association of Private Schools and Day Camps and consults with camp professional in the areas of camper safety and child abuse. Dr. Wolfson has also served as the adviser to Iona’s Education Club.
