PROGRAM: Health Services Administration

Degree: Post Master’s Certificate

Specific focus of the program:
Provides an introduction to the field of Health Services Administration for those professionals who already hold a master’s or doctoral degree. It is designed to enhance the skills and training of those responsible for management decisions in clinical and managed care environments.

• Classes offered at both campuses
• Classes offered in a variety of formats: during the week, weekends, and via distance learning
• Courses can be applied toward the MS in Health Services Administration
• Flexibility in electives enables students to develop their own interests
• Faculty are active in consulting, community organizations, and professional organizations

Calendar:
Semester
Two hours, one evening a week OR Weekends (Saturday and Sunday mornings or afternoons) for six weekends in a term OR Distance-learning courses [Please note: Degree cannot be completed by taking Weekend courses only or via DL courses only]

Entry terms: Fall, spring

Average courseload per term: 2 courses (three credits each)

Average time to complete certificate: 1.5 to 2 years

Preferred academic preparation or background experience:
Master’s degree

Admission requirements:

• Application for admission
• Official transcripts from all colleges attended
• Three professional letters of recommendation
• Minimum GPA 3.0 or at discretion of the director
• Resume (if GPA is below 3.0)
