BA in Adolescence Education: Mathematics

The Department of Mathematics, in conjunction with the Department of Education, offers a Bachelor of Arts (BA) with a concentration in mathematics designed to partially fulfill the requirements of the New York State Initial Teaching Certificate. Thus, it provides courses and experiences necessary for planning and assessing instructional activities for students from a variety of backgrounds and needs. The required mathematics credits include courses in Algebra, Geometry, Discrete Mathematics, Calculus, Probability and Statistics and Foundations.
