Iona Senior Participates in American-Middle Eastern Student Dialogue at Stanford University
(AMENDS)
James Hurley, a Political Science/History major at Iona College will be a delegate at the AMENDS
Summit 2012, sponsored by the Stanford Center on Democracy, Development,
and the Rule of Law.
This program encourages youth leaders "to create positive social, political, and economic change, the necessity
of sharing their ideas and experiences with the world, and the profound potential of collaboration and understanding
between the Middle East, North Africa, and the United States."
The Conferenece brings together 40 exceptional youth leaders, from 20 different countries, to act as delegates at
a summit where they are asked to share ideas, collaborate on initiatives, and present "AMENDS Talks" that
will be broadcasted to the world.
