Dr. Jirik-Babb is a clinical health psychologist whose research and publications focus on various aspects of eating disorders (anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder and obesity) as well as on rehabilitation and on the relationship of health psychology and public policy. She also has interests in the theory and practice of counseling and in research design and data analysis. Dr. Jirik-Babb is active in the New York State Psychological Association and served as President of its Academic Division in 2006. Currently she is an Executive Board Member of this division. In addition, she is a member of the American Psychological Association including Division 38 (Health Psychology), the Westchester County Psychological Association IClinical and Academic Divisions) and the New York Academy of Sciences (Psychology Division).
