Specific Focus of program:
Quantitative and computer skills
Preparation for doctoral study toward the PsyD or PhD

 

 

Key features:

• Focus on master’s (rather than doctoral) level students
• Emphasis on strong quantitative and computer education
• Students frequently present their studies at professional psychology conference such as Eastern Psychological Association meetings or American Psychological Association meetings
• Excellent faculty, with virtually all courses taught by full-time faculty

Many alumni move on to various PhD programs in psychology. Those who did not, work as:
Market research manager;
Research analyst;
Teacher/College professor

Calendar:
Semester (no summer classes)
Two hours, one evening a week
Some classes may start as early as 4:30 pm

3 courses full-time, 2 courses part-time (three credits each)

Experimental Psychology - 36 credits

Average time to complete degree: 2-3 years, dependent on course load per term

Preferred academic preparation or background experience:
Degree in Psychology or by permission of the faculty

Admission requirements:

• Application for admission
• Official transcripts from all colleges attended
• Current resume
• Two professional letters of recommendation
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 (admission with undergrad below 3.0 by permission of the faculty)
• Acceptable performance in statistics and research methods/experimental research design courses at the undergraduate level
